Oak Dale Church is a warm, Bible believing, fun filled church that is serious about loving and serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our vision is captured in three words: WORSHIP, TRANSFORM, SERVE. We desire to grow to be a mid-sized church that is consistently winning people for Christ and making disciples of Jesus Christ who impact their worlds with the love and truth of God. We see a variety of ministries developed that will help us reach into our community. We also see other churches being planted.
To accomplish this vision, we understand our need to grow in love, truth, focus, and health.
Love
Our Lord taught us to love God with all that is in us and to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we do not have love then all we do is in vain. This is the great commandment (Matthew 22:37-40).
Truth
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. Together we seek to understand and apply God’s truth to our lives and to our church. The Bible gives us a picture of health for us as individuals, families and church..
Focus
Just before returning to heaven Jesus taught his disciples (and us) to go and make disciples. This is the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20). This is the focus of all we do. Every ministry seeks to maximize the discipleship making capacity of our church.
Health
The Bible compares a church to a human body. Just as a human body must be reasonably healthy to grow and function well, just so a church must be reasonably healthy to honor God, be a blessing to the community and to grow. The New Testament paints a portrait of what God desires to see in a church that includes loving relationships, servant leadership, prayer, worship, service, discipleship and evangelism.
Oak Dale Church is affiliated with CMC - a community of maturing & multiplying churches and is located in a residential community in Salisbury, PA.
