WHAT WE BELIEVE
OUR BELIEFS
- The one living God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit eternally, loves everyone.
- God uniquely revealed and inspired the Bible. It is the only inerrant authority on God’s law, salvation, and how we should live.
- All humanity has disobeyed God. Our sin has alienated us from God and each other.
- Jesus’ death in our place can reconcile us to God. We become acceptable to God when we, in faith, surrender our lives to Jesus, accepting him as our savior and master.
- The Holy Spirit draws sinners to repentance. The Holy Spirit then assures believers of salvation and empowers them to live victoriously and serve effectively.
- All believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are members of His one universal church. God desires to bring believers together to worship and serve Him.
- The love of God compels us to share the good news of Jesus with others until He returns to reign in righteousness.
In addition to the non-negotiables, there are many secondary issues that can bring conflict among Christians because of differences in culture, upbringing, personal taste, and past experiences.
Where such secondary issues arise, these opinions should not be allowed to divide Christians or dampen the passion for the Great Commission. There should be much grace extended in these matters—they are not to be treated as non-negotiables.

GETTING TO THE CHURCH
Oak Dale Church is located just north of Salisbury Pennsylvania at 9201 Mason Dixon Hwy, Salisbury PA 15558. A map with directions can be found here…
WHO CAN HELP? WHERE DO I PARK?
When you arrive and enter through the front glass doors look for friendly faces. Greeters are more than happy to help you find your way around and get you to where you need to be.
Where do I Park?
The only designated parking areas are for handicapped individuals. These spaces are near the front doors and around the left side of the building. The rest of the parking lot is “unreserved”!
HOW DO I DRESS?
Dress comfortably. While some attendees do wear their “Sunday best,” most wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Don’t worry about what you wear–just come prepared to have a wonderful time of worship in a relaxed atmosphere!
WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
We offer Bible classes for all ages from 9:30-10:15am, and our Worship Gathering begins at 10:30am. Plan to arrive shortly before your desired worship/Bible time. If you are early you can always have some free coffee or tea and conversation.
WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO?
Oak Dale Church has excellent preschool and children’s ministries. Bible classes are offered for all ages at 9:30. Greeters are just inside our entrances before every service to assist you as needed. Childcare (birth to age 4) is offered during the 10:30 Worship Gathering. We welcome your children with you in the Worship Gathering.
SAFETY AND SECURITY AT OAK DALE
Your child’s security and safety is important to us, so we ask that every child ages infant through age 7 be checked-in and checked-out at the childcare desk by a responsible adult or someone the parent has designated. A childcare ministry volunteer will be there to assist you. Check-in and out times should be 15 minutes prior to the service and up to 15 minutes after the service has ended.
If, while in childcare, a child should need a parent, the parent will be notified using a number system that has been assigned to that child. This number would show on the screen in the auditorium or if the parent is in Sunday School, a volunteer worker would notify the parent.
All children’s ministry workers (age 18 and older) are required by Oak Dale to complete child abuse clearances from the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Dept. of Human Services, and a Federal Criminal History report from the FBI which includes submission of fingerprints to the PA State Police.
OUR PASTORAL TEAM
DANIEL BYLER
They say it takes a village to raise a child. For me, Oak Dale Church was that village. I was born and raised in Salisbury and attended Oak Dale until I graduated and then attended Rosedale Bible College. There I received an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies in 2020. I then spent a year with REACH, a short-term missions program, and a discipleship training school. I served the church plants in Singonga, Zambia.
Through a time of study and travel, my wife Erin and I fell in love with the local Church. We have a passion for the discipleship of youth, and the power of the Gospel (Isaiah 61). In this, we were called to my hometown to serve at Oak Dale Church and it’s communities.
Along with working at Oak Dale, I attend college full-time for my Business Administration and Counseling Degrees online at Clarks Summit University.
JOEL CURTIS
Joel, his wife Jaime, and their children have been attending Oak Dale since 2006. Joel believes a solid foundation in the Word of God is critical to healthy Christian growth. As a member of the preaching team, Joel enjoys helping people see scripture in a fresh light. He believes the Word of God has the power to change people, if it’s allowed to sink into their souls. Joel’s passion is to see Oak Dale continue to grow as a congregation of people being changed into God’s image through His word.
Joel and Jaime raise their family in Salisbury and Joel leads Curtis Chimney and Hearth in Grantsville, MD.
OUR ELDER AND STAFF TEAMS
Oak Dale Church is served by dedicated elders and ministry directors, each bringing their own gifts to the work of caring for and equipping the Body. We are regular men, women, children, businessmen and women, students, teachers, sports enthusiasts, young and old, but most of all, we are family. We come with all of our brokenness and the messiness of our lives and find grace, healing, forgiveness, and community in God’s family.
